Youth
Service
Centers
(FRYSC’s) were developed as part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act
(KERA). The centers are
designed to enhance students’ abilities to succeed in school by
assisting students and their families with access to beneficial
community programs.
What
do FRYSC’s do?
While
each
center seeks to help meet the unique needs of the community it serves,
the core components of every FRC include:
Health/mental health service referrals
Education to enhance parenting skills
Support and training for day car providers
Health and education services for new parents
Assistance/referrals for full-time childcare
Assistance/referrals for after-school childcare
