Christy Howard-Potter asked when the PTO elections need to be held.  According to the bylaws, the elections are to be held during the April PTO meeting.  Bruce suggested that maybe we should ask candidates to submit a short bio as with the SBDM.  Bruce suggested that we create a three person election committee, and he is willing to be on the committee, but not head it.

Angie Wolfe has agreed to act as the PTO Secretary for the remainder of the school year.  Christy Howard-Potter extended thanks for Angie volunteering to take on the role.

***Christy Collins, who could not attend the meeting, reported on the following prior to the meeting and asked that the following information be noted.

The new Parent Volunteer Network Group are an independent of the PTO, but they are working for the school with support from the PTO.  Parents are encouraged by the PTO to volunteer for this group as well as volunteer for PTO sponsored functions.  Sarah Paris and Jacqui Swales are the coordinators.  Each day, there will be a parent volunteer in the cafeteria to help the cafeteria monitors.  Volunteers will also report on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m - 11:00 a.m.  and  on Tuesdays and Thursdays  from 12:00 - 2:00 to work on various Teacher Requests.    Christy Collins and Bruce Batman suggested that for the 2007-2008, a "Volunteer Coordinator" be elected as part of the PTO Board and ask each grade level to have a parent representative on this committee.

Christy Collins reported that the Middle School has a tremendous amount of die cuts that are at our disposal to use.  Samples of each of the die cuts are being made so Huntertown Teachers know what is available.  The teachers supply the paper, choose the die cuts they wish to have, and one of the volunteers will go to the middle school and do the work for the teachers.
