Meeting called to order by Mrs. Kim Parker-Brown at 5:20 PM
- Agenda- add IX. Pine
Mountain trip. Motion to approve the agenda as ammended made by Sharon
Wilmarth, seconded by Becky Hewlett
- Approve minutes from
April meeting- Becky Hewlett to add names to minutes, instead of
intials. Motion to approve the minutes made by Robert Stromberg,
seconded by Debbie Webb
- Committee reports
were reviewed and accepted
- SACS evaluation
scheduled for May was cancelled and rescheduled for the Fall
- 2007-2008 Professional development plan was reviewed. It is set as
follows:
- May 30th and 31st –Core Content 4.1 work-
reviewing grade level checklists, setting up units for 9 weeks and
developing common assessments
- August 6th Writing- 3 hr portfolio training/ 3 hour
aligning the writing curriculum
- September 28th District day- disaggregate data
- November 6th- ESL strategies follow up / Technology
Becky Hewlett motioned to accept the professional development plan
for 2007-2008, Debbie Webb seconded.
- SBDM Metting Dates for 2007-2008 were set. All meetings will begin
at 5:15 PM except as noted

- C-SIP Impact check was reviewed and completed- will be completed
3x a year in November, February and May. Revised #14- Content area
tests designed to reflect CATS items (multiple choice, On-demand, Open
response)
- SBDM council gave Mrs. Parker-Brown approval to fill any potential
vacancies during the summer months. Debbie Webb motioned to accept,
Sharon Wilmarth seconded.
- Pine Mountain trip will be moved from 4th grade to 5th
grade. Debbie Webb informed the council about specifics of the trip
including financial considerations and core content addressed during
the trip. Debbie Webb shared the letter written to the board
requesting permission. Sharon Wilmarth motioned to accept the Pine
mountain trip request, Robert Stromberg seconded
