.
Ongoing Homework means work to practice every night until mastery is reached! Several
students still need to work on these skills.
Homework
Reading/Writing: Always check to see if you
have homework in your reading tote. If there is not an assignment, then they
will not bring their totes home. It is
so important to be prepared for reading group!
Ongoing Homework
Complete and/or correct any “Not Yet” papers. Please return
them to school on Monday.
Read at home every day for at least 20 minutes! Check out one AR book
from the library each week and test on it. Students may earn rewards at the end
of each month for participating in AR. They have an AR book to read at school
and then at least one from the library each week!
Always practice previously given core words! Usually, new spelling
words will be sent home on Mondays (or first day of the week) and the test will
be on Fridays. If all words are correct on the Monday check, then that child
will study bonus words for the week.
Practice quick recall of your addition, subtraction, and multiplication
facts! Please call out at least 20 facts every night and request a quick verbal
response.
Practice counting money.
Practice telling time.
Practice writing your personal information.
Optional
Homework
Students may present news articles and such which help keep us
aware of what’s going on in our world.
