Richardson ’s Riches

Dec. 14, 2007

Third grade will have their Secret Santa Store on Wednesday. We do this store so children can apply the economic concepts they have been learning in class. The children can purchase items from our class as well as the other third grade classes. There is a price list in the folder. So kids you may want to be doing chores around the house to earn some extra money.

There will be no homework or spelling next week!! Merry Christmas.

Mrs. Reynolds, the homeroom mom, should have called you about what to send to the party. If you have not heard from her let me know, that probably means she doesn’t have a current phone number.

This year for our Christmas party I am asking each child to bring 25 small items, that is one for each child. We will have bags on the tables and students will give each child a small gift on the day of the party. These can be candy, pencils, stickers, etc.

Here are some ideas for conversation starters. “Name for types of clouds?” “Tell what type of weather each type of cloud brings.” “Explain supply and demand.” “Who is the consumer and who is the producer?”  “What are you reading for A.R.?”

Reading Totes are coming home each night. Make sure your child does their assignment so that they are prepared for reading group the next day. Please check over your child’s homework.
